As Indian cricket fans await the much-anticipated return of middle-order maestro KL Rahul to the team, he was spotted seeking blessing at a temple. Rahul, accompanied by his wife and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty visited Ghati Subramanya Swamy Temple on the outskirts of Bangalore on Saturday.

The couple arrived at the temple in Doddaballapur, Bengaluru Rural district around 12:45 pm on Saturday and offered their prayers. They were warmly welcomed by the temple authorities, who honoured them with shawls and enlightened them about the temple's rich history and significance.

Rahul, known to be a devout follower of Lord Subramanya has often been open about his spiritual inclinations and this visit shows his faith, especially during a challenging phase of his cricketing career.

This visit comes amidst ongoing speculation regarding Rahul's fitness and participation in Asia Cup 2023. While he was selected for the continental tournament, Rahul hasn't accompanied the team to Sri Lanka. Instead, he continues his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

Chief Indian selector, Ajit Agarkar had earlier mentioned that Rahul was managing a niggle and suggested that he might feature in the later stages of Asia Cup 2023. However, this temple visit hints at Rahul's spiritual approach towards his recovery and comeback.

It's worth noting that Rahul and Athiya tied the knot earlier this year in January. Athiya is the daughter of renowned Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty, who has been a significant figure in the industry for decades.

Indian fans will be hoping that Rahul's spiritual visit along with his ongoing rehabilitation soon pave the way for his return to the field.
