Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has shared a heartwarming video on his social media accounts as he continues to enjoy his leisurely time away from the field. In the short video, the cricketer can be seen consulting “resident expert” and five-year-old son Agastya regarding bat selection.

Agastya even cheerfully explained the benefits of using heavier bats to Hardik, prompting the star all-rounder to nod along with a smile, clearly indulging his young expert’s wisdom with the kind of playful encouragement every parent knows well.

Learning Time For Hardik Pandya, By Son Agastya

On Friday, July 25, Hardik Pandya shared a short video on his Instagram account. The video starts off with the cricketer posing a simple bat-weight question towards his five-year-old son, Agastya Pandya. After Agastya rightly answered the question, the cricketer broke into a proud grin and immediately gave his son a celebratory high five, turning the moment into a wholesome father-son exchange.

Hardik further jokingly bragged about using heavier bats while batting, to which Agastya claimed that such bats are perfect for smashing sixes, as he adorably backed his advice with the flair of a true little cricket pundit.

When Will Hardik Pandya Return To The Field?

Nonetheless, Hardik Pandya will soon be seen paying heed his son’s advice of using heavier bats when he returns to the field for the Indian cricket team. The all-rounder last played competitive cricket a couple of months ago for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the IPL 2025 season.

With reports of Team India set to travel to Sri Lanka in August next month for a short ODI and a T20I series to make up for the postponed Bangladesh tour, Pandya will likely be selected in both squads by the selection committee.
