Virat’s flying kiss to Anushka from the pitch has become iconic over the years. He first did it during the Australia tour when the couple were just dating, and the gesture sparked huge buzz and also confirmed their alleged affair. 

Since then, it has become the couple’s favourite ritual. Whenever Anushka is in the stands, Kohli never fails to blow a kiss to her, and often, she reciprocates. On days when Mrs. Kohli is absent from the venue, Virat kisses his wedding ring to pay a heartfelt tribute to her.

During the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Anushka Sharma decided to cheer up her cricketer husband, Virat Kohli, by hilariously booing him. In a video she shared on social media, Anushka donned the role of a passionate (and slightly annoying) cricket fan and called out to Kohli, “Ae Kohli… chauka maar na, chauka! Kya kar raha hai?” As expected, the video exploded online, and it showed a goofy side of the couple.

As part of PUMA’s “Let There Be Sport” campaign in Bengaluru, the couple attended a fan event in 2023, and their banter won hearts. Asked to sledge Kohli, Anushka imitated a wicketkeeper and joked, “Aaj 24 April hai, run bana le Kohli,” leaving the crowd in splits. Kohli fired back with a hilarious comeback about having more runs than her team across months. 

Anushka also mimicked his famous wicket celebration, running around energetically as Kohli laughed and blushed, admitting he feels embarrassed watching his own over-the-top reactions replayed. The entire event was a wholesome moment that still remains a fan favourite.

After receiving his winners’ medal and special white jacket, Kohli again ran to her, where she affectionately rubbed his head and played with his hair in a tender, heartwarming exchange that stole the post-match spotlight.

The couple hugged, laughed and cried together in the most wearing way possible. They stood together throughout the celebration and were inseparable.
