Just when fans were gearing up to track Prithvi Shaw’s next move on the cricket field, the Indian opener decided to win hearts off it. Shaw lit up social media with a wholesome Instagram reel featuring his girlfriend Akriti Agarwal and the timing couldn’t have been better.

With IPL 2026 slowly creeping closer, the 26-year-old looks relaxed, grounded and very much in a happy headspace. The reel, shared on Friday quickly caught fire online as it had romance with a touch of humour. In short, Prithvi Shaw looks like a man who has found his calm after a few turbulent seasons.

Akriti Agarwal, who enjoys a massive following of over 3.2 million on Instagram, has been making waves of her own. She recently stepped into acting with the Telugu crime thriller Trimukha.

This feel-good moment comes at a crucial time in Shaw’s career. After being released by Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2025 and going unsold, many thought the road back would be uphill. But cricket has a funny way of offering second chances.
