In a recent news, former Australian cricketer David Warner, a long-time admirer of Telugu cinema, is all set to make his Tollywood debut. Warner, who has charmed fans with his social media tributes to hit Telugu films, will now appear in a special cameo in the upcoming action-comedy Robinhood. 

It is important to note that Warner has often expressed his admiration for Tollywood through social media. From dancing to popular Telugu songs like Pushpa's 'Srivalli' to mimicking dialogues from blockbusters, Warner has often expressed his love and respect for the culture. 

Warner has often seen dancing on the field to Telugu music and has also made playful Instagram reels featuring his family performing iconic Telugu movie steps. 

David Warner’s Love For Telugu Cinema 

According to TOI, Producer Ravi Shankar confirmed Warner’s casting during a promotional event in Hyderabad. Directed by Venky Kudumula, Robinhood is a fresh take on the legendary Robin Hood tale, infused with action, comedy, and adventure. The film also stars Sreeleela, Shine Tom Chacko, Vennela Kishore, and Rajendra Prasad.  

Reports suggest that David Warner was offered an impressive Rs 1 crore per day for his role. While details about his character remain undisclosed, fans eagerly anticipate his big-screen appearance, expecting a lively and entertaining performance.  

It is important to mention that Warner has announced his retirement from international cricket and his affection for the industry has now turned into reality.

Robinhood is slated to hit theatres on March 28, 2025. With Warner’s presence adding to the excitement, the film is poised to be a major crowd-puller, especially among cricket and cinema fans.
