David Warner has always been a through entertainer. Be it smashing bowlers out of the park, breaking into a TikTok dance or pulling off quirky looks, the Aussie star knows how to keep fans entertained.

David Warner Channels MS Dhoni With New Hairstyle

And this time, he has done it again by showing off a hairstyle that instantly reminded fans of MS Dhoni’s famous long-hair days.

On his Instagram story, David Warner dropped a picture of himself in longer hair, wearing a simple black T-shirt and flashing that cheeky grin. The caption read: “It’s coming along well” a clear indication of how his new hairstyle is turning out well.

As soon as the picture went viral on social media, fans couldn’t help but draw comparisons to MS Dhoni’s early 2000s look, back when the former Indian skipper had flowing locks and was making waves both on and off the field.

Still Making Runs In The Shortest Format

While Warner is done with international cricket, he is far from done with the game. He continues to ply his trade in T20 leagues and is still piling on runs. In fact, earlier this month during The Hundred 2025 Men's Competition in England, Warner went past Virat Kohli to become the fifth-highest run-scorer in T20 cricket.

He hit a fluent 71 off 51 balls for London Spirit against Manchester Originals, cracking 12 fours and a six at a strike rate of over 139. That knock took him to 13,595 runs in 424 T20 matches, with eight hundreds and 113 fifties. Warner averages 36.44 with a strike rate of 140.25, proving he is still got plenty of fire in the belly.

How Warner Stacks Up Against The Best

In comparison, Virat Kohli has 13,543 runs from 414 matches at an average of 41.92 and a strike rate of 134.67. At the very top of the pile sits the Universe Boss, Chris Gayle, who has 14,562 runs, including a staggering 22 centuries.

It is worth mentioning that Warner has built a reputation as one of the game’s biggest entertainers. From sharing family dance reels to surprising fans with funny edits, he has kept his off-field life as lively as his batting. And now, with this new Dhoni-like look, Warner has once again grabbed the limelight.
