Team India batting star Virat Kohli is sporting a new haircut ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Along with the team, Kohli is currently in Bangalore where the BCCI has organised a training camp ahead of the Asia Cup.

Kohli gave fans a look into his new hairstyle by uploading a picture of it on Instagram and Twitter a few days ago.



Kohli, who ended his Test century drought earlier this year in the Border Gavaskar trophy, was last seen in action during India's tour of the West Indies last month. He was rested for the T20I series of the tour, but played the one ODI and Tests.

He will be one of India's key batter in the Asia Cup, a tournament in which he has historically performed well. Kohli is the 12th highest run-scorer in Asia Cup history. He has scored three centuries in the tournament, which includes his sensational 183 against Pakistan.

Former West Indies pacer Ian Bishop recently hailed Kohli as the man for big occasions, while particularly highlighting his importance in the game against Pakistan.

"He was one of the guys that stood up in that T20 World Cup battle in 2022. Virat Kohli is a man with a sense of occasion, a master of the white ball and particularly the 50-over format. I think that he will be very aware of the magnitude as always of that type of contest and the history around it," Bishop told RevSportz.

The Asia Cup gets underway on August 30. The big clash between India and Pakistan, which will also be India's first match in the tournament, will be hosted by Kandy on September 2.

India has won the Asia Cup the most number of times with seven titles and will be looking for an eighth one this year, which will further boost their confidence ahead of the World Cup.
