Naveen-ul-Haq is one of the few Afghan pacers who are playing T20 leagues across the globe and is known for his variations in the shortest format. He is also known for his fight with Virat Kohli in IPL 2023 and is a popular figure in the world of cricket.
Now, in a podcast on a YouTube channel called Majlis show, Naveen-ul-Haq opened up about a variety of issues like his fight with Kohli, his ODI retirement and his plans for the future. In the final phase of the podcast, he also had to go through a Rapid Fire round, where he was asked to compare players with Bollywood characters.
Naveen calls Virat Kohli As Don, Babar similar to Akshay Kumar
It started with Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq compared him with the famous Don character. When Babar Azam's name popped up, Naveen-ul-Haq said that he has to be a hero, and one cannot make him a villain.
"He can do a hero's thing, you can't make him a villain also", Naveen-ul-Haq said on Majlis show.
The host stated that Babar Azam can be the Akshay Kumar of the Welcome movie. He then stated qualities like a bit confused, a good person, which make him a good fit to be Akshay Kumar of Welcome, and Naveen-ul-Haq also agreed. The Afghan pacer then stated that Babar Azam can be the Akshay Kumar of the De Dana Dan movie.
So, it seems that Naveen-ul-Haq relates Babar Azam to Akshay Kumar and his comedy movies. The Afghanistan cricketer also compared Chris Gayle with Amrish Puri, while Rishabh Pant was called Spiderman. Thus, Naveen-ul-Haq used all his love of movies and Bollywood to label superstars of Indian cricket and has shown a different side of his life.
