Back in 2019, a meme went viral on social media mocking former Indian legendary skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Cut to 2024, the game changed when Dhoni hit back at trolls by singing the same song which he released for the electric cycle manufacturer company, E-motorad.

MS Dhoni Trolled Trollers In The E-Motorad Ad

It turned out to be one of the most iconic ads that former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, has ever featured in after he sang during one of the promos released by the e-cycle manufacturer, E-motorad, in the year 2024.

Singing the song, "Bole Jo Koyal", Dhoni was seen riding his e-cycle as he sang the song himself with music imposed. Meanwhile, two birds on the tree were talking about 'Thala' and his biking ability.

While educating the customers, the brand also successfully garnered the attention of the loyal fans with this hilarious yet quirky ad.

How Did Brand E-Motorad Made Full Use Of The Opportunity With Dhoni?

The fact that the brand saw a 300% increase in its overall sales within just two weeks of the launch of this campaign indicates the success of this ad.

Originally, the song, "Bole Jo Koyal", was being used for MS Dhoni after a video of a content creator went viral with long hair. Trollers used to mock Dhoni for having similar looks to the content creator, and the song would play out by their fans whenever Dhoni walked out.

However, with this ad, Dhoni has now mocked the mockers, where he himself gave his vocals and has turned out to be a major success for the brand.

Co-founder and CMO of E-Motorad, Aditya Oza, revealed that they wanted Dhoni to sing, but were unsure about pitching the idea to the former Indian skipper. However, to his surprise, Dhoni agreed and also enjoyed the entire process, as he was even seen enjoying the ride on his e-cycle.

Later, Dhoni was in a commercial for the same company, this time directed by the legendary Sandeep Reddy Vanga, featuring the 2011 World Cup winning skipper in a dashing avatar.
