Australian spinner Amanda Wellington surprises Diljit Dosanjh at Adelaide concert

Australian leg-spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington surprised Indian pop artist Diljit Dosanjh during the latter’s concert at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena in Adelaide. It is worth noting that Dosanjh is currently in the Australia leg of his 2025 Aura tour, and his concert in Adelaide on November 5 was the fourth of his South Australia tour.

Adelaide-based Amanda Wellington attended the concert, and even surprised the singer on stage and gifted him a special Adelaide Strikers jersey.

Diljit Dosanjh gets Adelaide Strikers gift from Wellington

Australian spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington gifted Diljit Dosanjh a special memento, a specially-designed Adelaide Strikers Women’s team jersey when she attended the concert and met the Indian singer on stage in Adelaide.

Wellington even shared a couple of pictures from their unexcepted ‘cricket x music’ collaboration on her official X account. In the caption, she wrote:

“Never thought I’d be on stage with @diljitdosanjh”

Amanda-Jade Wellington, winner of the 2022 ODI World Cup and 2018 T20 World Cup for Australia Women, often expresses her interest in all things India. Just a couple of weeks ago, she posted a picture of herself in Indian attire, and extended her Diwali wishes to those celebrating the festival of lights.

Wellington made her international debut back in November 2016, and has so far represented Australia Women’s team in a Test, 14 ODIs and eight T20I matches. The cricketer is also a prominent figure in England-based The Hundred league for the Oval Invincibles.

As of now, she is bracing herself for yet another Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) stint with the Adelaide Strikers team, her 11th straight WBBL edition with them.
