In a bid to hype and get the ball rolling, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced a star-studded line-up of artists, who will perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 14 ahead of the much-anticipated India-Pakistan ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 encounter.

The BCCI in a series of posts on social media platform 'X' unveiled several performances, that will showcase a musical show like no other. Bollywood singers Arijit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, and singer-and-composer Shankar Mahadevan will all take part in a programme called 'Musical Odyssey'.

Other artists expected to join in the festivities are Shreya Ghoshal, Ranveer Singh, and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Interestingly, Arijit also performed in the opening ceremony of IPL 2023, which took place in Ahmedabad, while Ranveer is the face of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, having starred in the official anthem.

Mahadevan's love for cricket goes a long way, as the music director composed the official anthem for the ICC World Cup 2011, which India won under MS Dhoni. As per Dainik Jagran, fans will be allowed to enter the stadium from 10 AM onwards, with the pre-match celebrations commencing from 12.30 PM.

Fans will be only permitted to carry their mobiles, purses, hats, and medicines. The Gujarat Cricket Association has announced they will provide free water and medicare facilities as well during the course of the match.
