One of the biggest sporting rivalries will commence on Saturday, with India squaring off against arch-rivals Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Ahmedabad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is leaving no stone unturned in making the iconic encounter a spectacle at the Narendra Modi Stadium. With no opening ceremony for the edition, the BCCI have organised a star-studded live musical show ahead of the start of the play.

One of the artists, singer-and-composer Shankar Mahadevan has reached the venue a day prior and undergoes last-minute trials and rehearsals.

A reel shared on Mahadevan's Instagram, shows the star singer humming tunes of his previously composed World Cup 2011 anthem 'De Ghoomake' at the Narendra Modi Stadium as the performer expresses his excitement for the upcoming musical show and India-Pakistan encounter.

Apart from Mahadevan, singers Arijit Singh and Sukhwinder Singh will also perform as revealed by BCCI on social media. Other artists such as Ranveer Singh, Neha Kakkar, and Shreya Ghosal are also expected to play their part in the cultural show.

The pre-match show runner will be prominent art director Prashant Vichare, who has worked in movies like Lagaan and Jawan. Luminaries like Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth will also be in attendence.
