Shraddha Kapoor, the renowned Bollywood actress, posted an Instagram story responding to Mohammed Siraj's brilliant bowling performance in the Asia Cup 2023 final, which was instrumental in India's one-sided win.

Siraj delivered a scintillating opening spell, claiming six wickets in just seven overs to dismantle the Sri Lankan batting order after India were invited to bowl first by the Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka.

Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs, with Hardik Pandya claiming three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah picking one apart from Siraj, who registered the best bowling figures of 6/21.

India, in reply, chased down the target in just 6.2 overs with all 10 wickets in hand. What was supposed to be a six-to-seven-hour match ended in less than three hours, much to the dismay of fans who had Sunday plans to watch the whole game.

Shraddha Kapoor, the Bollywood diva, was feeling just like the rest of us on her Instagram story after the match. She shared a pic of herself in a laid-back white outfit in her car and wrote down this message for Siraj:

"Ab Siraj se hi pucho iss free time ke saath kya karein..." [Translated to: Now let's ask Siraj what to do with this free time…]”

Anushka Sharma, who is married to Virat Kohli, also uploaded an Instagram story to applaud Siraj's maverick spell. She captioned it:

"Kya baat hai Miyan Magic..." [What was that, Miyan Magic]"

The Hyderabad pacer not only dazzled the fans with his outstanding spell but also showed his big heart afterward. He dedicated his 'Player of the Final' cash prize to the unsung heroes – the dedicated ground staff at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. They worked tirelessly to make sure the final and a few earlier games could happen despite rain delays.
