Highly renowned for his forgetful nature, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma forgot to collect his passport from his hotel room while checking out following India’s record-breaking victory in the Asia Cup final. The incident occurred just when Team India were about to make their way to the airport.
After the end of the match, Team India decided to head to the airport to return home. Just when everyone boarded the airport bus including Rohit Sharma, they were abruptly stopped by the hotel authorities and were advised not to exit the premises. Upon further interaction with the officials, it was revealed that the 36-year-old had left his passport in his hotel room hence the delay.
After waiting for a few minutes, the support staff retrieved his travel document from the room and handed it over to him. Soon after the bus left for the airport.
A few years back, the then-Indian skipper Virat Kohli made a hilarious revelation about the current skipper about his forgetful attitude. He couldn’t have been wrong in making such a claim about Rohit Sharma.
The Men in Blue left Sri Lanka on a very jubilant note after thrashing Sri Lanka by an embarrassing margin of 10 wickets to claim their eighth Asia Cup title. The pace battery of India rose up to the occasion and decimated a formidable Sri Lankan batting lineup for one of their lowest totals in ODI cricket.
Mohammed Siraj was the man who wreaked havoc with the ball picking mind-boggling figures of 6/21 along with Hardik Pandya who was equally relentless in his onslaught. Prior to the commencement of the ODI World Cup, team India will be seen in action against Australia in a 3-match ODI series at home starting from September 22.
