We all know Virat Kohli as the passionate and fiery captain on the cricket field, but at home? He’s a completely different person; calm, loving, and gentle. And his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, recently shared how sweet and close their relationship really is.

Anushka Sharma Opens Up About Her Bond with Virat Kohli

In a heartwarming chat with Filmfare, Anushka opened up about her bond with Virat. She said,

“I’m married to my best friend. I’m married to my confidant. I’m married to someone I love so dearly just because of the human being that he is. When we’re together, the world ceases to exist."

She also spoke about how people often misunderstand Virat. While he looks aggressive and intense during matches, Anushka says he’s actually very peaceful and calm in real life. She shared how tough it was to spend time together after marriage because of their busy schedules.

"During the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 or 22 days together… We were hardly together in Mumbai. In fact, the staff at home gets so happy whenever they see us together at home," she laughed.

Their love story is no secret. Virat and Anushka first met while shooting an ad together. Sparks flew, but they kept their relationship private for a long time. They finally tied the knot in a beautiful and simple wedding ceremony in Italy in December 2017, with only close family and friends in attendance.

Kohli And Anushka Planning To Settle In London

The couple now has two children, a daughter, Vamika, born in January 2021, and a son, Akaay, born in February 2024. These days, the family splits their time between Mumbai and London. In fact, Virat's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, shared that Virat is planning to settle in London soon.

Right now, Virat Kohli is playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025. His recent performances have impressed fans and cricket experts alike.
