Sometimes, life really gives you a bat and some magic too! On Monday, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi shocked everyone with an incredible performance. He smashed a century in just 38 balls, becoming the youngest player ever to score a hundred in the IPL at 14 years and 32 days.

Vaibhav, a left-handed batter, hit 11 sixes and 7 fours while facing some big international names like Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, and Afghanistan’s stars Rashid Khan and Karim Janat. Thanks to his amazing knock, Rajasthan Royals won the match by eight wickets.

But the most emotional moment came when RR head coach, Rahul Dravid, got so excited that he stood up from his wheelchair to celebrate Vaibhav’s record!

As soon as Vaibhav smashed a six off Rashid Khan in the 11th over to reach his hundred, Dravid jumped up, forgetting about his injury, and clapped for the young star.

RR Team Manager Shares Post-Match Interaction

After the match, Rajasthan Royals’ team manager Romi Bhinder shared a touching moment, Rahul Dravid hugged Vaibhav and wished him lots of luck for the future.

"Obviously, it's a great pleasure for a great coach because he picked up Vaibhav in the auction and showed great belief, giving a sermon in all these practice sessions. And when you see the result, Rahul Dravid is also a human being - he is very happy and also feels that at least we've got some serious talent, and we are trying to give this serious talent to the country. Rahul bhai hugged him and wished him luck, and we need many more like him," Bhinder said.

During the match against GT, RR were chasing a target of 210 runs. Vaibhav smashed 101 runs off 38 balls, helping the team chase the target with 25 balls to spare.

He partnered with Yashasvi Jaiswal for a 166-run stand, who himself scored an unbeaten 70. Later, Riyan Parag finished things off with a quick 32 runs off 15 balls, hitting the winning six.

Even though GT stars Shubman Gill (84 runs) and Jos Buttler (50 not out) did well, Vaibhav’s heroics stole the spotlight.

Right now, GT are third on the points table, while RR are still fighting hard for a spot in the playoffs.
