Virat Kohli, India's swashbuckling cricket superstar and former captain, is fond of tattoos. Almost every Kohli fan knows that. Two years back, Kohli added a spiritually significant inking to his cherished body art. A BTS video released by the tattoo shop two years later has gone viral now.

Kohli's Ends Up With Spiritual Inking For A 'Cover-Up'

In the Instagram video released by @alienstattooindia, Virat Kohli met the artists in the studio to get a new tattoo on his forearm region. The video saw Kohli enjoying the inking session as he appreciated and flaunted the tattoo while walking out.

As per the owner, "The overall session lasted for over 12 hours, and Virat was so immersed in the process that he lost track of time both the days," as quoted by India Today.

Significantly, Kohli flaunts 12 tattoos on his body, according to OneIndia, and five of them hold spiritual significance. Interestingly, two of them also reflect his ODI and Test debut cap numbers. Notably, the tattoo that he wanted from Alien Tattoos was a cover-up. As per the owner, Kohli wanted to cover up his old ink and create something spiritual and intricate.

Kohli's Spiritual Spark Since 2023

While it has been two years, the tattoo still flaunts on his arm as the Delhi boy has taken a spiritual path since 2023. Recently, a day after announcing his Test retirement, Virat Kohli visited spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj with his wife Anushka Sharma.

The couple met him at Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram in Vrindavan. They reportedly engaged in a spiritual conversation called Ekantik Vartalaap during their second visit in 2023.
