Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Rajasthan opener has started IPL 2023 on a bright note smashing fifty in the first game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has been in stellar form in domestic cricket and continued that rich vein of form in the opening game for his side.

Yashasvi was positive right from the onset and started his innings with a boundary off Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He then continued his onslaught against Fazalhaq Farooqi and other bowlers too as he got to his fifty in just 34 balls. He, however, in a bid to go ultra-aggressive after his fifty departed on the score of 54 smashing 9 boundaries on the way. Fazalhaq Farooqi was the man who got his wicket after the Afghan speedster also got rid of Buttler on the exact score of 54.

Both the openers have taken their team off to a great start and with Sanju Samson looking good too, Royals are on their way to a big total.

As far as Yashasvi Jaiswal is concerned, this could well be the breakthrough year for the young opener. He has scored loads of runs for Mumbai in domestic cricket across formats and averages over 80 in first-class cricket while in List A cricket, Jaiswal averages almost 54 with a highest score of 265 and 203 in first-class and List A games respectively.
