On Tuesday, India will take on the Netherlands in their second warm-up game in the ICC World Cup 2023 in Thiruvananthapuram. This match holds significant importance for the Men in Blue, as it will help them prepare for their opening clash against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.

Meanwhile, ahead of the second warm-up game, Indian keeper-batter KL Rahul was involved in an intense practice session. The hard-working cricketer from Karnataka is all set to don the gloves for India in the World Cup.

So, he was practising wicket-keeping by using tyres as a means to block his vision.

Rahul adopted the strategy in order to fine-tune his wicket-keeping skills. This method helps the players work on their reflexes, which is essential to succeed as a keeper in international cricket.

Rahul, who started his ODI career as a reserve opener, was eventually slotted in the middle order. The stylish batter has enjoyed stellar success at number five, playing many impactful knocks and guiding India to several memorable victories.

As he recently recovered from a back injury, there were doubts over him being India's first-choice wicket-keeper in the World Cup. However, considering he has regained full fitness, the 31-year-old will keep wickets for India in the marquee event.
