It is turning in the right direction for women's cricket as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited the bids for media rights auction of all-new Women's IPL for five years beginning in 2023. The news was confirmed by BCCI through their official media release which stated that the tender is available to purchase till 31st of December 2022.

Further, the parties interested should mail their Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) to "wipl.mediarights@bcci.tv" after paying the required amount towards the BCCI.

The tender document will cost a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) plus INR 90,000 which will count as applicable goods and services tax.

It was duly mentioned that purchasing the ITT doesn't entitle anyone to bid. The party must satisfy the requirements for getting eligible for putting up their bid.

Earlier, BCCI announced the inaugural season of the WIPL scheduled to take place in March next year with five teams. While the matches will be held in two locations every season, each team will be playing eight matches.

Additionally, the tenders for sale of the franchises could also be released in the meantime.
