India's pre-World Cup 2023 preparations might have been dampened by rain washouts in their respective warm-ups against England and the Netherlands.

However, Team India currently in Thiruvananthapuram, despite the gloominess found themselves overseen by regional son of the soil, Sanju Samson.

Not literally, but rather in a poetic fashion, where the Indian team were seen undergoing training in front of a massive Samson mural.

Samson's oversized mural is located at St. Xavier's College Ground in Trivandrum, where the Indian team had a practice session on Monday.

The mural painting is renowned as 'Super Samson', which the wicket-keeper batter himself shared on the social media platform Instagram. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper posted on microblogging the above-mentioned picture with Team India captioned " With Team India @ Gods own country!! 😄✌🏽"

India will now travel to Chennai for their opening World Cup 2023 encounter against five-time champions Australia, who they square off at Chepauk in Chennai on October 8.

Meanwhile, Samson who was snubbed by BCCI for both India's World Cup 2023 and Asian Games competitions has joined Kerala Camp for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023, which gets underway from October 16.

India selectors preferred the more aggressive Suryakumar Yadav over Samson for the global showpiece event, who averages 55.7 from 13 ODIs, as compared to the former, who has managed 667 runs in 30 ODIs with an average of 27.8.
