Sanju Samson has been an integral part of Rajasthan Royals family and apart from the two seasons where he played for Delhi Daredevils, he has always been part of RR. He was named the captain too ahead of the 2021 season, and has enjoyed quite a successful stint as a leader.

In the 2024 season, he scored 531 runs and Rajasthan Royals went onto play Qualifier 2, but despite all these, there are rumours floating around that Sanju Samson might leave Rajasthan Royals ahead of the next season.

The speculations garnered more fuel when Rajasthan Royals posted a video on their official X and Instagram handle featuring Sanju Samson with caption - 'Major Missing.' 

The video showed glimpses of Sanju Samson with Rajasthan Royals players and even Kumar Sangakkara who is the head coach of the team. The franchise did not give any context to the video apart from that caption and it clearly disturbed Sanju Samson's fans who were worried that their hero might leave Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2025.

Sanju Samson To Be Traded To CSK?

Also, there are some reports that Sanju Samson might be traded to CSK, but there is no confirmation and given the bond between Sanju Samson and RR, it looks highly unlikely that he will leave the franchise.

Also, he has proved his worth as a leader by taking RR to the final of IPL 2022 and to the playoffs in the 2024 season. The last season was his best with the bat as well, and given the brand value he brings to the table, Rajasthan Royals cannot afford to take such a drastic step after what happened with Mumbai Indians when they decided to swap Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya.
