In a significant development, ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah's IPL 2025 comeback is set to get delayed, as he hasn't got fully fit to participate in the tournament. Notably, Bumrah, who sustained a back injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year, hasn't played competitive cricket for quite a while now.

When Will Jasprit Bumrah Make IPL 2025 Comeback?

According to The Times of India (TOI), although Bumrah has almost completed his rehabilitation, there's still some uncertainty looming over his availability for the remainder of the ongoing IPL season.

Hailed for his extraordinary skills, Bumrah is yet to bowl full tilt at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE). The fast bowler himself is monitoring his workload, which is being gradually increased under the supervision of the physicians at CoE.

Therefore, as the report claims, Bumrah could join the Mumbai Indians camp by mid-April; and, hence, he might miss at least three more matches for the five-time champions against LSG, RCB and DC.

It's worth mentioning that the BCCI has adopted a cautious approach in Bumrah's workload management, considering his importance for India in the England Tests, lined up right after the IPL.

The report states that Bumrah's workload will be managed in the Test series, as the BCCI doesn't see him featuring in all five matches.

Akash Deep Expected To Return By April 10

In another development, fast bowler Akash Deep, who was purchased by LSG in last year's mega auction, is expected to recover from a back injury by April 10. In his absence, LSG have had a tough journey with the ball, recording two crushing defeats in three appearances.
