Shreyas Iyer, India's top-middle-order batsman, has been a commanding run-scorer in T20 cricket. In the latest IPL 2025 match between PBKS and GT, he thrashed 97* off only 42 balls, but that is not his best score in T20 format.

Iyer, the newly minted captain of Punjab Kings, was bought for a humongous price of INR 26.75 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction. In his debut game for the franchise, the batter slammed an impressive 97* off 42 balls.

His blistering knock helped PBKS post 243 runs total in the first inning. However, the 97-run knock is interestingly not Shreyas’ highest score in the T20 format.
