Priyansh Arya, the young gun from Delhi, played an impactful knock of 47 off just 23 balls on his IPL debut. Opening for PBKS, Arya went all guns blazing and earned fans’ appreciation on social media.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) bought uncapped player Priyansh Arya for INR 3.8 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction. While the acquisition was deemed expensive, Punjab put faith in his talent.

After successful stints in DPL and SMAT, Arya finally made his debut in IPL against GT on March 25 and quickly won fans’ hearts with a blistering knock.

Priyansh Arya Announces His Arrival In IPL

Batting first, Punjab Kings trusted two uncapped players Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya to open the innings. While Prabhsimran failed to impress, getting dismissed on 5 off 8 balls against Kagiso Rabada, Arya came set from the dressing room.

He took on quality bowlers and hit Mohammed Siraj for a four on the second ball of the innings. He hammered 21 runs against Arshad Khan and reached 47 runs in just 23 balls.

However, the young player missed out on a well-deserved half-century by just 3 runs as Rashid Khan outplayed him.
