The venue for Match 27 of the Women's Big Bash League between Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers scheduled on Wednesday (November 2) has been changed.

The clash originally slated to take place at Blacktown International SportsPark, will now be played at NSW, North Sydney Oval, which is also the home venue of the Australia women's team.

The fixture will mark the second fixture of the double header on that day, with the first game being contested between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars.

Cricket NSW CEO Lee Germon reiterated his commitment to Women's cricket, and aims to successfully organize the fixture.

“It is our ambition at Cricket NSW, and that includes our Big Bash League clubs, to be regarded as a world class organisation,” Germon said.

“We also aspire to be world-leading in our dedication to our women’s programs and this decision gives us another chance to demonstrate that."

Currently, Sixers are in the third position in the points table with three wins in four appearances, while Thunder have lost all their three league matches.

Revised schedule for WBBL matches on November 2:

Adelaide Strikers v Melbourne Stars, North Sydney Oval, 3:30 pm AEDT

Sydney Thunder v Sydney Sixers, North Sydney Oval, 7:05 pm AEDT
