When Ishan Kishan Had To Spend A Night In Jail Due To Disciplinary Issues

Ishan Kishan's exclusion from India's T20I squad against Afghanistan has raised eyebrows, with rumors circulating about the true reasons behind his absence. While many initially believed it was related to a mental health break, recent reports suggest disciplinary issues may be at the root of the matter.

This is not the first time Kishan has found himself in hot water. Back in 2016, the young cricketer, then captain of India's under-19 cricket team, was arrested in Patna for rash driving. The incident occurred just days before the junior World Cup in Bangladesh, putting his participation in the tournament in jeopardy.

At the time, Kishan, who hails from Bihar but plays for Jharkhand, was driving his father's car when he collided with an autorickshaw, injuring two occupants. The situation escalated as Kishan was assaulted by some individuals, although no formal case was lodged. The matter was eventually resolved when Kishan's father promised to cover the medical expenses for the injured and repair the auto-rickshaw.

Fast forward to the present, and Kishan's recent exclusion from the national squad appears to be linked to alleged disciplinary lapses during the past few weeks. Despite making himself available for selection after opting out of the South Africa Test series due to mental fatigue, Kishan was overlooked by the selectors.

The specifics of Kishan's disciplinary issues, his troubled history, including the 2016 incident, adds another layer to the unfolding narrative surrounding the talented wicketkeeper-batter.
