Ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli, the iconic figure in Indian batting, has shared a special message, endorsing the 'Let Kids Play' campaign and urging parents to support their children in playing cricket outdoors.

There is no better way to build character and maintain physical well-being than through sports. Star Sports, the official broadcaster for the 2023 World Cup, has started a unique campaign featuring Virat Kohli, highlighting the value of allowing kids to partake in sports.

In the promo uploaded by Star Sports on their official X (formerly known as Twitter), Virat Kohli can be seen playing gully cricket with the street children. In the video, the former India captain was seen bowling underarm balls to the children and he even went on a house hunt to retrieve the ball.

Kohli also revealed in the video that had he been discouraged from playing in his early days, he might never have made it to the Indian cricket team. This suggests that we shouldn't deter kids from playing sports and should allow them to develop on their own, as you never know who might become the next Kohli in the Indian team.
