In a heartwarming moment after Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s dominant victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2025 season opener, Virat Kohli was spotted making a special connection with his family. Just moments after the match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli took time out to video call his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their children, Vamika and Akaay, sharing a joyful moment with them.

Despite the cameras zooming in on him, Kohli seemed entirely engrossed in his conversation, even making playful facial expressions to entertain his kids during the call. The heartwarming clip of the star cricketer interacting with his children quickly went viral on social media. 

Kohli's Expressive Performance In The Series Opener

Virat Kohli’s performance in the match was equally impressive. With the bat, he led from the front with an unbeaten knock of 59 runs off just 36 balls. His innings helped RCB to chase down KKR's total with ease. This brilliant innings also saw him reach a personal milestone, becoming just the third batter in IPL history to score over 1,000 runs against KKR, he joined the David Warner and Rohit Sharma in the list. 

RCB’s victory was comprehensive, with Krunal Pandya’s three-wicket haul restricting KKR to  modest total. Fans of the franchise were left elated, as their team dispatched the defending champions with a commanding performance.

It is important to mention that RCB will play its next match vs CSK on March 28, 2025 at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
