Ex-RCB skipper Virat Kohli was seen having a hit in the nets ahead of Monday night's clash against touring Punjab Kings in match 7 of the IPL 17.

Following their loss in the season opener against CSK, RCB, with a renewed determination, returned to their home, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, and engaged in an intense net session on Sunday afternoon, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for victory.

Virat Kohli, who returned to competitive cricket for the first time since the South Africa tour in January, had a quiet evening in CSK's Chepauk stadium against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings. 

He could score 21 runs before falling to Mustafizur Rahman's shorter one where Ajinkya Rahane put in a fantastic effort on the boundary, throwing the ball to Rachin Ravindra who completed the catch on his pull.

In a viral video, Virat was seen taking throw-downs in the nets. Kohli, who knows the pitch and dimensions of the ground very well, would like to go big alongside his partner, Faf du Plessis, and set up a good foundation while putting up a show at their fortress in Bengaluru. 

The Bengaluru franchise plays Punjab Kings on the first Monday night game of the season at 19.30 hours on 25th March.
