The Men In Blue will embark on another ICC challenge as the Champions Trophy is all set to begin from 19 February onwards. With only a handful of ODIs scheduled to be played, India would be hell-bent on focusing on their performance and bringing the trophy home after 12 years.
After marking their attendance in their respective domestic teams for the Ranji Trophy, big stars like Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant are all set to gear up for the highly anticipated tournament. India's rising star, Shubman Gill was also spotting training for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
Gill, who has been named as India's vice-captain has been struggling to find consistency in the either of the formats. While he slammed a valiant century in Punjab's last Ranji Trophy match, the youngster is yet to play a significant innings for India.
During an interview with PTI, Gill talked about believes is holding him back in the longer format of the game and said:
"There is a certain zone that I am in, certain intent that I am in and sometimes I think I lose that because I put too much pressure on myself that I have to get big runs now that I am set. I think in those crucial moments, I sometimes lose my focus and concentration. I think it keeps you in the game all the time."
Meanwhile, Gill is expected to feature in the upcoming India versus England ODIs starting from February 6.
