In the ongoing 2023 Legends League Cricket, Tino Best, the ex-West Indian fast bowler, is making waves with Urban Risers Hyderabad. He's revisiting the glory days with his remarkable bowling performances, turning back the clock in the ongoing T20 tournament.
On Friday (November 24), Best posted a video of a game against the India Capitals in Ranchi where he left former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen in shambles with a deadly bouncer. His caption on X read:
“Fast Bowling is an Attitude.”
Kevin Pietersen scored 77 runs from 48 balls, including six towering sixes and four boundaries, but his knock went in vain as Tino Best's Urban Risers Hyderabad beat India Capitals in a thriller by three runs. Meanwhile, Tino Best finished with a figure of 1/36.
Batting first, Hyderabad put up a solid 189/5 on the board within their 20 overs. Although openers Dwayne Smith and Martin Guptill fell early, Gurkeerat Singh Mann emerged as the standout performer, scoring 89 off 54 deliveries, which included three sixes and nine boundaries.
Suresh Raina and Peter Trego played supporting roles with scores of 46 (27) and 36 (20). The Capitals' bowling attack was led by Isuru Udana, who impressed with figures of 2/28. Complimenting him, Rusty Theron, Munaf Patel, and KP Appanna each contributed by taking one wicket.
