[Watch] Amelia Kerr and Grace Sippel's Jaw-Dropping Efforts to Send Phoebe Litchfield Packing

Amelia Kerr and Grace Sippel demonstrated outstanding teamwork to dismiss Sydney Thunder batter Phoebe Litchfield in the 52nd match of the ongoing Women’s Big Bash League. 

It all happened in the 6.5 overs of the Thunder’s innings as Nicola Hancock delivered a short of length ball on the stumps to Litchfield. In response, she executed a powerful pull shot towards deep backward square leg. 

Positioned in the deep, Amelia Kerr moved to her left, gathered the ball, and flicked it back into the air, all while maintaining her balance. Meanwhile, Grace Sippel, stationed near Kerr, skillfully reached out with her left hand and secured the ball cleanly. 

The third umpire was called upon to assess the dismissal, and after reviewing several replays, it was evident that it was a clean catch. Consequently, Litchfield had to depart, having scored 23 runs.

As for the match, Brisbane Heat Women beat Sydney Thunder by 22 runs. Batting first, they posted a total of 160 runs, losing eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, they successfully contained the Thunder to 138 runs, with Jess Jonassen contributing significantly with a four-wicket haul.
