Suryakumar Yadav thanks fans, shares highlight reel of parade

On July 9, Suryakumar Yadav took to his Instagram account to share a short highlight reel of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup winning parade that occurred in Mumbai back on July 4. In the caption, the 33-year-old cricketer extended his gratitude towards fans who showed up in large numbers in the city for celebrating the momentous occasion.

In the reel, Suryakumar Yadav can be seen basking himself in glory alongside captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid along with the rest of the Indian players on an open bus.

While Suryakumar Yadav failed to make an impact with the bat on the day of the final, the cricketer pouched a match-defining boundary catch in the final over to tilt the game back in India’s favor. The senior T20I batter also punched out a sizzling 53 against Afghanistan in the Super Eight stage of the tournament, a quickfire 31 against heavyweights Australia, and a match-winning 47 against defending champions England in the semifinals.

As of now, the cricketer will be expected to tour Sri Lanka later this month for three T20Is and three ODI matches.
