Los Angeles Knight Riders and Seattle Orcas will collide in match number six of the ongoing MLC 2024 season. The much-awaited contest will be staged at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and the action will commence from 6:00 AM IST onwards on July 10.

Los Angeles Knight Riders

Los Angeles Knight Riders launched their MLC 2024 campaign on an emphatic note by securing a 12-run win over Texas Super Kings. Unmukt Chand played starring role with the bat by scoring 68 from just 45 balls before fast bowler Ali Khan flattened TSK with figures of 4-33. 

Unfortunately for the LAKR, their confident start to the season was hampered by San Francisco Unicorns in the very next game a couple of days later in Dallas.

With a win and a defeat from two matches, the Sunil Narine-led Los Angeles Knight Riders group is placed at number four on the six-team MLC 2024 points table.

Judging by the performance so far; Unmukt Chand, Nitish Kumar and David Miller will start out as some of LAKR’s key members with the bat. The team also features a formidable all-round line-up of Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell and captain Sunil Narine. Fast bowlers Spencer Johnson and Ali Khan, meanwhile, are also in great touch at the moment.

Seattle Orcas

Seattle Orcas sustained a six-wicket larruping at the hands of defending champions MI New York in the opening match of the MLC 2024 season on July 5 at Morrisville. With Seattle Orcas crumbling for just 108, number four batter Shubham Ranjane top-scored with 35 while all-rounder Harmeet Singh chipped in with a handy 20 from 14 balls. 

In the second half of the game, Cameron Gannon alongside Nandre Burger and Zaman Khan struck back for the Orcas with key wickets, but their collective efforts came up short in front of a rampaging MI New York batting line-up.

Currently placed at the bottom of the MLC 2024 points table, the Seattle Orcas will be banking on the experience of senior opener Quinton de Kock, captain Heinrich Klaasen, overseas star Nandre Burger as well as in-form USA batter Aaron Jones for a late insurgence this season.
