The much-awaited Asia Cup 2023 is all set to commence on August 30. With six teams- India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal- set to battle it out for the coveted trophy, the tournament promises to be an absolute blockbuster. 

Meanwhile, ahead of the marquee event, Bangladesh players were involved in an intense practice session conducted at the iconic Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

In a video posted by Bangladesh Cricket Board's official Twitter handle, the national players can be seen toiling hard in the drill session before the showpiece event. 

The session included intense warmups, including running and physical exercises. The players also played football before proceeding for match simulations, including batting, bowling and fielding. 

Bangladesh recently named a formidable squad for the Asia Cup 2023, announcing veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan their skipper for the tournament. The experienced southpaw will also lead the side in the ODI World Cup, set to be played between October 5 and November 19, in India.
