The Asia Cup 2023 is already underway, and teams like Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already notched up points on the table winning their opening matches, respectively. Seven-time Asia Cup winners India will begin its campaign on September 2, as Rohit Sharma and Co. will lock horns against arch-nemesis Pakistan in Kandy.
The high-voltage encounter is expected to produce riveting cricket as both teams will look to impose their dominance. In a bid to hype India's tourney, official broadcasters have shared a new promo featuring Sharma and former Indian captain Virat Kohli.
The 'Star Sports' promotional video is a montage of Kohli and Sharma scoring runs from all the Asia Cup editions, they have featured in from 2012.
The clip also features Babar Azam, Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Dasun Shanaka.

Kohli's ODI record in Sri Lanka is commendable, while Sharma's 50-over record in the Emerald Nation is unimpressive.
The former captain has scored 899 runs in 23 ODIs, while current Team India skipper has slammed 583 runs on Lankan soil, with the former amassing four centuries and the latter registering just two.
However, Sharma holds a superior record at Pallekele, having stockpiled 182 runs with one century and as many fifties, while Kohli has managed just 30 runs; both have played three matches at the venue.
Against Pakistan, the former RCB skipper has scored 536 runs in 13 ODIs, while in 16 matches, five-time IPL winning MI captain has slammed 720 runs.
