Former India captain MS Dhoni, who is currently on a solo trip to the United States Of America (USA), recently made headlines playing golf with ex-US President Donald Trump.

However, long before Dhoni, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar met Trump in 2019 during his Presidential stint. Interestingly, Gavaskar met the then-US President at his private golf course in Washington, where the discussion turned out quite fun.

Coincidentally, former Pakistan captain Imran Khan, who was also in office as PM, was coming to meet Trump, upon which the latter thought about talking with Gavaskar about the World Cup-winning leader.

As quoted by MidDay, recalling their meeting, Gavaskar ended up almost talking about Bollywood superstars Aamir, SRK, and Salman, after Trump asked the legendary batter about his views on 'Khan'.

Here's what Gavaskar recalled

"I don't play golf; he had just finished playing and came to the clubhouse lounge. Imran had just been to Washington. He asked me how good Khan was. I had half a mind to ask him which one - Salman, Aamir, or SRK - but since I wasn't sure if he had a sense of humor, I refrained."

Trump ended up signing a bat for charity as well for the 'Heart to Heart' Foundation.

The 77-year-old has often spoken about various cricketing stars from India during his speeches. Trump called Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar as great cricketers during his India visit in 2020.
