Mumbai Indians (MI) legendary batter Rohit Sharma has been the talk of the town since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. After getting removed as MI captain, Rohit is playing this year as a batter under Hardik Pandya's captaincy.

While the team, under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, is facing a tough phase in the tournament, currently placed at the second-last spot on the points table, Rohit, as a batter, is making significant contributions, emerging as Mumbai's second-highest run-getter in IPL 2024.

Ahead of Mumbai's clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Wankhede Stadium, Rohit was seen adding another weapon to his arsenal—trying his hand at switch hits. In the nets, the former MI skipper was evidently sweating hard practising the switch hit, which would be a handful for both the IPL team and India in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Rohit Sharma could be seen turning on the T20 beast inside him, with his beloved friend and former teammate Pragyan Ojha in the backdrop.

Regarding the MI vs KKR clash, Rohit has not been named in the Playing XI but is part of Impact Substitutes. The 38-year-old has a stiff back, so MI management is playing him just as a batter.

At the time of publishing, Mumbai are having a ball in the first innings as they have reduced KKR to 57-5 inside 7 overs.
