In what could be a huge blow for India, captain Rohit Sharma suffered a hand injury while having a practice session in New York ahead of their high-voltage clash against Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2024.

However, he was later declared fine, and also started batting along with rest of his teammates, helping their ardent fans to breathe a sigh of relief.

Notably, Rohit was retired hurt during the India versus Ireland match after smashing an impressive half-century. Therefore, there had been a lot of discussion regarding his availability in the Pakistan clash.

However, there is no need to worry about it, as Rohit seemed perfectly fine, and was seen batting in a normal stance.

More importantly, the India match is a do-or-die affair for Babar Azam-led Pakistan, who suffered a humiliating Super Over defeat against the co-hosts USA. As the USA are already placed at the top of the group, a loss would force Pakistan to a shocking exit before even the Super Eight begins.

The India versus Pakistan fixture will take place at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York on Sunday, and it will get underway at 8:00 PM IST.
