After thrashing Australia in the first Test match at Perth, Team India's focus now shifts towards the Pink-Ball Test, starting on December 6. However, prior to that, the Rohit Sharma led side have to take care of the business against the Prime Minister's XI, in a warm-up match, beginning on Saturday.

The practice match at Canberra will be a Pink-Ball affair against the Prime Minister's XI as India try and get used to the conditions which they'll face in Adelaide, the same ground where they got bundled out for 36 on their last tour.

RO-KO Gear up for Pink-Ball Test

The Indian side have got a big boost in the form of Rohit Sharma, who returns back to the squad after missing the first Test. He will most likely open, with KL Rahul replacing Devdutt Padikkal at number 3. Ahead of the practice match in Canberra, Team India sweated it out in the nets as RO-KO - Rohit and Kohli practiced hard in nets and looked in ominous touch.

The two greats of the game batted side by side and while Rohit focused more on playing spin bowling, Kohli was tasked to negate the pacers. R Ashwin took care of the business with the Indian skipper and the Indian pacers tried getting Kohli out.

While Kohli looked in fluent touch against the pacers, Rohit was beaten by a couple of times by R Ashwin's carrom ball.

India to play Prime Minister's XI to prepare for Adelaide Test

India have won all their Pink-Ball Test matches, except one. In 2020, Team India toured Australia and the first Test was in Adelaide, which was a day-night match. India had taken a lead in the first innings before disaster struck.

The Aussie pacers ran riot and dismissed the Indian side for a paltry 36, thus winning the game rather easily. This was India's lowest total in Test, and they'll be eager to leave their past behind as they prepare to face the Aussies at the same venue in the Pink-ball match.

For that, they'll be playing against the Prime Minister's XI to test their bench strength and get used to the conditions.
