Shaheen Afridi interacted with a number of Indian fans in New York on June 8, i.e., a day prior to Pakistan’s all-important 2024 T20 World Cup Group A match against perennial arch-rivals India.

The match, scheduled to be staged at the city’s Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, marks a must-win one for the ‘Men in Green’ considering they lost their tournament opener to USA in a thrilling Super Over a couple of days ago.

In a seemingly friendly interaction with fans, Shaheen Afridi was left in splits after an Indian supporter jokingly requested the speedster to go easy on Team India batting greats Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the upcoming match.

Yet to open their account this tournament, the ‘Men in Green’ will face a Rohit Sharma-led Team India at New York’s Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on June 9. The action will commence from 8:00 PM IST onwards.
