It's that time of the year again, and we can't wait to get started as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the schedule of the upcoming IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League). Among 10 teams, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is one of the strongest contenders to lift the title with their new skipper, Rishabh Pant, at the helm of things.

This year, the IPL will begin on 22nd March 2025 with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) game, while the grand finale will be played on 25th May 2025 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

One of the newest teams in the IPL, Lucknow, will have a new skipper to lead them this season in the form of Rishabh Pant, who was bought in the auction at the record sum of ₹27 Crores. They finished fourth after losing to RCB in the eliminator of the 2022 edition of the league, while in the 2023, they again lost in the eliminator to finish fourth for the second consecutive time. But problems arose for them in the 2024 season as they ended up seventh on the table.

Moving to this year, their campaign will begin against Delhi Capitals on 24th March 2025 in Vizag, while their first home game of the season will be versus Punjab Kings on 1st April. On the other hand, they will play three afternoon games this season, with the first one against KKR on 6th April.

Adding to this, LSG will be co-incidentally playing the final game of the group stage against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 18th May 2025 at their home in Lucknow.
