In a heartwarming display of player-coach bonding, Nuwar Thushara of MI nailed stumps at the net session after coach Lasith Malinga shared his wisdom, and the invaluable insights seemed to have made a significant impact on the promising bowler.

In a strategic move, Mumbai Indians signed promising Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Thushara, whose skills and action drew heavy resemblance with Sri Lanka's legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga.

His majestic display of pace bowling skills in SA20 left MI moved as they signed him for the IPL 2024 season, and accordingly, Thusara made his season debut in the previous game against Rajasthan.

That being said, in a previous net session organized at Mullanpur's stadium, Nuwan Thushara was seen training and learning from the best, Lasith Malinga. 

He sought help from Malinga with respect to his action and the latter organised some drills for Nuwan to train him into hitting bullseye onto the stumps.

After Malinga shared his insights, Thushara soaked the wisdom in and hit the stumps accurately in the following delivery.

Needless to say, Thushara's performance in the net session serves as a testament to the value of mentorship and the importance of learning from experienced players.

By emulating Malinga's techniques and incorporating them into his own game, Thushara has taken a significant step forward to becoming a better version of himself.
