Jos Buttler indulged in a light-hearted chat and banter with Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper and comeback man Rishabh Pant ahead of Rajasthan Royals' (RR) next IPL 2024 league stage encounter in Jaipur on Thursday (March 28).

The extravagant RR opener spoke about Pant's emotional return to the game following a prolonged absence due to a life-threatening car accident in December 2022 and acknowledged his determination and hardwork in making a recovery from multiple bruises and surgeries.

Suddenly, however, Buttler took the conversation to the lighter side and joked Pant may have learnt to be patient with his injuries and rehab but hasn't learnt it in his batting. The Capitals' renowned middle-order aggressor took it in the best of spirits and laughed at the opponent's funny jibe.

The conversation was captured in a viral clip by the Royals franchise and shared on their various social media handles as it warmed the fans' hearts and they enjoyed the banter between the two giants of modern-day cricket.

Pant initially wished the Royals batter "Happy Holi" and asked how Buttler played the festival of colours as some colour was still visible on his hands. The Englishman then revealed he also has some of it on his head beneath the helmet. "My Hair is still pink," he said, before Pant responded: "Yeah everywhere is pink, man"

Buttler then spoke about Pant's recovery and said he has been great with his patience while the latter said "I have to take care (still)". As the conversation took turn towards the perseverance and patience Pant has shown in the last 15 months, Buttler unveiled his humorous side and said, "Not at batting?".

The two swashbuckling players will lock horns in Delhi's second successive away clash of the season against the Royals as they eye their first win after losing to Punjab Kings (PBKS) while the hosts aim to continue their winning juggernaut following victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
