In a lighthearted moment, Mumbai Indians former captain Rohit Sharma obliged to teammate Suryakumar Yadav request of eclipsing his iconic thumbs up pose at the airport before they boarded a flight for Chandigarh.

Mumbai Indians ended their IPL 2024 season’s first home leg with a painful loss against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings on Sunday evening.

With Rohit Sharma bringing up his second IPL career century, his peers failed to support him from the other end, which resulted in a 20-run loss.

Regardless, MI will move on the road for the upcoming four fixtures of the tournament, with the first stop being Chandigarh where they will meet Punjab Kings at the newly inaugurated Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.

Rohit Sharma-Suryakumar Yadav's bromance

That being said, MI batter Suryakumar Yadav ran into ex-captain Rohit Sharma at the airport, where the former requested that the latter join him in a photo session.

SKY is well-known for his signature thumbs-up pose, which he uses at every airport that he travels to. And this time, he wanted Rohit to join in, too.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, reluctant at first, obliged Suryakumar Yadav’s request as the duo posed for an airport photo together. While SKY loved the picture session, Rohit disapproved of the pose.

Overall, the fun movement between the teammates underscored the deep-rooted friendships and bonds that are formed within cricket teams, transcending the boundaries of the game.

On that note, Mumbai Indians will face Punjab Kings this week on Thursday in their impending IPL 2024 season fixture and aim to get back to winning ways before the playoff dreams slip off their grip.
