Renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has won the hearts of fans worldwide with his incredible achievements over the years, and West Indies keeper-batter Joshua Da Silva's mother is just one of the many admirers. 

During the ongoing Test, Da Silva shared a heartwarming incident highlighting his mother's deep admiration for Virat Kohli. The West Indies wicket-keeper batter told Kohli that his mother had come solely to witness the former India captain's innings and requested him to score a century. 

Here's what Joshua Da Silva told Virat Kohli on the second day of the ongoing Test: 

"My mom told me on the phone that she’s coming to see Virat and not me. That's literally what my mom said. I couldn’t believe it. I don't blame her to be honest. She's right up there watching." 

Meanwhile, on the second day of the ongoing Test, a beautiful moment unfolded as Da Silva's mother finally met Virat Kohli. Overwhelmed with emotion, she tearfully hugged Kohli, expressing her deep admiration for the cricketing legend.

Speaking to a OneCricket correspondent, here’s what Da Silva’s mother said after meeting Kohli:

"Virat Kohli is like my son, I hope Joshua learns a lot from him."

In a long-awaited moment, Virat Kohli finally scored his overseas Test century after nearly four years during the ongoing Test against West Indies in Port of Spain. His brilliant innings of 121 runs off 206 deliveries, featuring 11 boundaries, was tragically cut short by a run-out.  

India's first innings was nothing short of exceptional, recording a mammoth total of 438 runs, thanks to the noteworthy efforts of Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja, and R Ashwin, all of whom scored half-centuries, alongside a breathtaking century from Virat Kohli.
