After battling fiercely in the first four Tests, arch-rivals Australia and England have set the tone for a cracking finish to the final Ashes 2023 encounter at Kennington Oval, London. Chasing a challenging 384-run total, the visitors had a fabulous start to their second innings, finishing on 135 for no loss, with both their openers, Usman Khawaja and David Warner unbeaten on day 4. 

However, the well-poised game had to be paused due to rain, with the umpires calling for an early conclusion to the dramatic day 4. So, as the stage is set for an epic finish to an intriguing series, let's see what the venue's weather forecast says for today. 


Kennington Oval, London Weather Forecast For Today

The fourth day had an abrupt ending, as rain played spoilsport during Australia's second innings. The weather forecast for the fifth and final day of the Test match doesn't seem any different either, with a persistent downpour likely to result in a drawn fixture at the Oval. 

Accuweather predicts the temperature to vary between 14 to 21 degrees celsius, with the chances of precipitation being as high as 70 per cent in the afternoon. The period between 12 PM to 6 PM (local time) will witness persistent showers, implying a rain-marred finish to the second consecutive Test match of the series. 

Notably, the fourth Test at the Old Trafford in Manchester also saw a dull ending, thanks to the inclement weather conditions on the final day. So, if it gets repeated at the Oval, Australia, who have already retained the Ashes, will win the series by 2-1.
