Will Kohli, Rohit Return? Here's India's Playing 11 For 3rd ODI vs West Indies

After recording a five-wicket victory in the first ODI, team India succumbed to a demoralising defeat in the subsequent game of the three-match series against West Indies in Barbados. The team management's decision to rest two stalwarts, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, proved costly for the visitors, as their middle order crumbled against the disciplined Windies attack, resulting in their sub-par total. With the series on the line, India might consider bringing in their two most experienced batters for the decider at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.

So, as the Men in Blue gear up for the ultimate clash, let's see what could be their playing XI for this fixture.

After the second ODI concluded, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid justified the omission of Kohli and Sharma from the playing XI, citing the call was taken to provide the other players with ample game time. However, as the series is at stake, India might bring Kohli into the playing XI to strengthen their vulnerable middle order.

However, with the openers firing, regular skipper Rohit Sharma might warm the bench for the second consecutive time.

Dravid also stated that India would back Suryakumar Yadav, who has an underwhelming record in ODIs. If that happens, one between Sanju Samson and Axar Patel (more probably the latter) will make way for Kohli. Also, Jaydev Unadkat might replace Umran Malik, who hasn't been at his best in this series.

India's probable playing XI for 3rd ODI vs West Indies: Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (WK), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya (C), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Umran Malik/Jaydev Unadkat
