Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi recently hosted a fundraising event for his foundation in Melbourne, where some of Pakistan's cricket stars, including Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi, were in attendance. The event took place on Saturday, December 31, and featured light-hearted banter among the players.

During the gathering, a video surfaced in which Shahid Afridi playfully commented on Shaheen Afridi's towering height, exclaiming, "Shaheen bohat lamba hay yaar". 

In response to Afridi's remark, Mohammad Rizwan humorously suggested, "Isko neechay khada karen". 

The exchange added a touch of humour to the event, showcasing the camaraderie among the players.

The fundraising event aimed to support Shahid Afridi's foundation, emphasising the charitable endeavours undertaken by the former cricketer beyond the cricket field. 

The presence of key players like Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi highlighted the unity within the Pakistani cricket community in contributing to philanthropic causes.

It's noteworthy that Shahid Afridi is not only a cricketing legend but also happens to be the father-in-law of Shaheen Afridi, adding a familial connection to the camaraderie seen at the fundraising event.

In the broader context of Pakistan's cricketing activities, the country was on a tour of Australia for a three-match Test series. Unfortunately, Pakistan faced defeats in the red-ball series, losing both matches in Perth and Melbourne. This extended their longstanding struggle in Test matches on Australian soil, with a winless streak dating back to 1995.

The final Test of the series is scheduled at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 3, 2024.
